when we let go of our guards, we start to notice things we usually do not. how magical it is to witness all these powers unfold within us in stillness - from the very parts that we considered unworthy of our attention.
sophia reveals and encapsulates some of these fleeting moments through paintings, photographs and drawings - often of herself, her experiences and those who are close to her heart. She utilises different metaphors to recreate these momentary magic for safe-keeping, and she loves to share her marvels with others while trying to understand what it is that makes them so special.
she believes that acknowledging and sharing these quiet moments can invite emotional healing and self-love. she is experimenting in ways to direct her curiosities and appreciation further, in hopes to shed light on ways one can offer love and compassion to oneself and to their universe.
Sophia was born in Seoul, South Korea, and her heart was moulded in Cape Town, South Africa. she believes in the slower pace of living and creating, and in respecting the mother nature. she loves birds, coffee, sunlight, soulful music and being gay.
currently, she lives and works in Philadelphia, united states.
